Experiences and Challenges with Web 2.0 Final Requirements: Web 2.0 http://web.me.com/leannandjohnnyhays/HPCSAuthorstudy/Welcome.html Final Requirements: Professional Resource Project My own Internet use ranges from email to research and many things in between. If I categorized my use by personal and professional, the personal use would equal about twenty percent, and the professional use would be about eighty percent. Without question, the largest category for professional use would be information seeking for new teaching strategies, books, and ideas related to the classroom and school media center. Regarding safety and my professional use, I believe that I have very good safety practices. I really consider and research authors and sources of the information that I find on-line. I have learned the difference between reputable, research driven sites for instructional effectiveness and commercial "worksheet" sites. For personal use, I do window shop on-line. However, due to an incident with identity theft, I really limit my on-line purchases. The identity theft episode was not Internet related, but the whole experience made me very wary of on-line shopping. In addition to on-line shopping, my personal Internet use includes mostly information seeking. I do not feel as confident with judging the quality of these websites simply because I do not use the Internet for this purpose as much as I do for professional reasons.
